THE MERCY HOUSE: 'Greed' Video Released
March 20, 2012Described by Kerrang! Radio's Alex Baker as a band possessing "killer riffs, monstrous vocals and more hooks than a slaughterhouse", London's powerhouse heavy-rock innovators THE MERCY HOUSE have unleashed their debut video for "Greed" — a song that Kerrang! magazine's Simon Young described as "dripping with menace." This track becomes available in digital format and on the Rock Band videogame network from April 9.
Having won audiences over across the country with their unique brand of alternative heavy rock and one of the most energetic live shows around, the band is now poised to strike at the heart of the rock scene with an iron fist.
After battling against health issues that almost brought the band to the brink of destruction, THE MERCY HOUSE return more determined than ever with their debut album, "A Broken State Of Bliss"; set for release April 23 through the band's own label TMH Records and with distribution from Code 7. Carefully crafted during much of last year at The Death Dojo with production team The Picasso Brothers, the album was mixed by Donald Clark (GUNS N' ROSES, KORN, MUSE) and mastered by Mandy Parnell (DEPECHE MODE, THE PRODIGY, BJÖRK). A trend- and scene-defying record, it possesses a dark, gritty and visceral post-apocalyptic quality that pioneers what is quickly being labelled as the "black grunge" sound.
